SCHOOL AGE PROGRAM
The Phelps Community Center's School Age Program provides a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for children ages 4–12 before and after school, on school breaks, emergency closings, and half days.
Each day is filled with opportunities for children to learn, explore, create, and build friendships. Our caring staff plans a variety of age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, confidence, and independence. Children enjoy arts and crafts, STEM challenges, games, outdoor adventures, group activities, support, and plenty of free play.
We are proud to partner with the Phelps Public Library throughout the year, giving children the opportunity to participate in special literacy programs, hands-on learning experiences, guest activities, and community events that inspire a lifelong love of reading and learning.
Our program also features a large gymnasium, a beautiful playground, and access to other spaces throughout the Phelps Community Center, providing plenty of room for active play, sports, and group activities in every season.
We provide breakfast before school and lunch and an afternoon snack after school, helping children stay fueled for a fun and productive day.
At PCC, we believe every child deserves a place where they feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged to grow. Our dedicated staff focus on building meaningful relationships with each child while creating lasting memories in a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
As an OCFS-licensed program, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and quality care, giving families peace of mind that their children are in a safe and supportive environment.
