Meet the Theater Crew

Nate-Program Director

Nate River is a performer and theatre teacher born and raised in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate NY. His love for performing started when he was in High School when he auditioned for the Midlakes’ Theatre Experience Spring musical “Curtains”. Ever since this production, he has continued to expand his love and knowledge of performance. He has an associates degree in Theatre from Finger Lakes Community College and his BFA in Musical Theatre from Nazareth College.

Throughout his education and career, he has been in numerous musicals, plays, and local commercials. He even spent a summer in Brooklyn, NY where he trained with Broadway professionals to put together a showcase.

 

Nate is so excited to be continuing his 5th year at PCC Youth Theatre as the Program Director. This past summer he has worked to expand the youth theatre program by offering 1 on 1 voice lessons, auditioning classes, acting classes, and by directing the program’s annual summer camp.

Sydney-Assistant Director

Sydney brings all of her expertise to us as the stage manager and Assistant Director for all PCC Youth Theatre productions.  She is so excited to continue sharing her wide range of talents with our community.

Sydney has participated in high school and collegiate plays and

musicals. Including FLCC’s productions of Little Shop of Horrors, The

25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Games Afoot, and more!

Sydney has also provided her expertise to various local high school and

college drama programs, donating her skills as a director. When Sydney is not directing or acting, she works as an Arts and Crafts Program staff.​

Meredith- Music Director

Music has been part of Meredith’s life for as long as she can remember. She discovered her love of musical theatre thanks to Geneva Youth Theatre Guild and even played the White Rabbit in their production of Alice in Wonderland!

 

She is a music director for Geneva’s Theatre444; favorites include Next to Normal, Daddy Long Legs, RENT, and most recently, Alice By Heart, performed at Rochester’s Fringe Festival. She sings with an a cappella group “So Noted” and accompanies local schools for concerts and musicals.

 

This is her first year working with PCC Youth Theatre and she is thrilled to be part of such a wonderful program with a great team and amazing kids!

Mary- Choreographer 

Mary is a Dancer, Choreographer, and Educator. She is currently residing in Geneva New York and is very excited for the opportunity to go down the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland with PCC STAR Theatre.

 

She began her studio training in Ballet, Tap and Jazz at the age of 3. Her formal training took place at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a concentration in Performance and Choreography.

 

Throughout the years, Mary has brought her passion for Dance to her community— choreographing for multiple local productions such as “Hairspray”, “Spamalot”, “The Addams Family”, “School House Rock” while teaching at various dance studios in the Finger Lakes. Mary also teaches an array of genres and ages at the PCC Dance Studio including Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Acrobatics, and Lyrical.

Hannah-Production Assistant

Hannah’s love for theatre and music started started from a young age. She is excited to share her love of theatre and music with our youth as PCC Youth Theatre’s Production Assistant. Hannah is a graduate of Midlakes High School and was a part of numerous shows and musicals at Midlakes. Not only was Hannah cast in leading roles she also helped build and design sets.
